DivnickGolf Introduces "BIG STIK" DAYTON, Ohio (April 5, 2004) - Divnick Golf unveiled their new BIG STIK drivers and LITTLE STIK three-woods today at their Dayton headquarters. The new brand is the same club as their BIG DICK and BIG JANE drivers, which were introduced at the PGA Show in January, but with a softer name. Steve Divnick, President and CEO of Divnick Golf said, "We received tremendous attention and interest in The BIG DICK and BIG JANE drivers at the PGA merchandise, however from the feedback we received at the PGA Show, we knew we needed a family-friendly name. We were very pleased to find that BIG STIK was available for trademark and as www.bigstik.com." DivnickGolf will continue to offer the Dick and Jane line for those consumers interested in the line. "There is still a significant demand for the BIG DICK. Our customers are placing follow-up orders as gifts, and the word-of-mouth referrals are great. But we want to appeal to all segments of the global marketplace. We don't want the name to get in the way of this great club", continued Divnick. The Divnick drivers are different than traditional drivers in three unique ways: 1) They are higher loft, much higher. Available in 11, 13, and 15-degree lofts, the BIG STIK makes it easy to get the ball airborne for golfers of all skill levels. 2) They have a high center of gravity to reduce back spin. Divnick says, "We get our trajectory from the loft, so we don't have to have a low-center of gravity to get the ball up. We have moved the weight up so it produces a smooth arc with maximum control and long roll-out." 3) The clubs are significantly lighter than traditional drivers, which makes it easier to control and generates faster club-head speed. Divnick has been making unique golf clubs since 1992. One of his models is a 15-degree telescopic driver that he sells as a travel club. That loft allows it to be used off the tee and fairway. His customers have been reporting better drives with this two-piece club than with their $400 name-brand drivers. Divnick knew this was a result of the higher loft, so he began engineering a titanium driver with a graphite shaft. "Our first driver was essentially a 3-wood loft with a driver head and shaft. It was 15 degrees and people who struggled to get the ball off the tee were suddenly hitting booming drives down the middle. We quickly added a 13-degree loft, and an 11-degree for better players." Matt Stotler, PGA Professional at Pipestone Golf Course in Dayton Ohio has participated in the testing and development of Divnick's drivers. He reports, "As a local pro, I hit all the major brand drivers. None of them hits as well as the Big Stik!" As an inventor and owner of several patents in a variety of industries, Divnick has demonstrated he can think outside the box. "Traditional equipment makers spend their engineering and marketing budgets designing and promoting clubs for touring pros. I'll let them have that business. I want to build clubs that average golfers can use." The LITTLE STIK three-woods offer the same high-loft benefits of the drivers since it is even more difficult for golfers to hit the ball off the fairway or deep grass. While most three-woods are 15 degrees, the LITTLE STIK offers 17 and 20 degree options. Mickey Fox of Blew-By-U Launch Monitor Systems says, "It is so easy to hit the ball on a nice rainbow trajectory that our clients relax and significantly increase the number of solid, long shots. They just love this club. We've never seen anything like it. The more we test it, the more impressed we become." DivnickGolf's marketing strategy is also unique. They are turning customers into demo day distributors. Divnick says, "We know the key to selling this club is for people to be able to hit it. When they experience the easy-to-hit long arcing drives, they buy it. We want average golfers to conduct demo days in their local areas. It can be a part time, or a full time position with an exclusive territory. Either way, it is very profitable and can make golf expenses tax deductible. And we believe it is the best way to get this club in the hands of a lot of people this season." Any one interested in the distributor program should contact sales@divnick.com or 1-937-384-0003.
