Mitchell Machine Art Blade Putters to Debut at Orlando Show (January 21, 2004) - Ed Mitchell, Chairman/CEO of Mitchell Golf Equipment Company, Dayton, Ohio, announces two additions to the Mitchell Machine Art Putter line that will debut at the PGA Show in late January 2004. According to Mitchell, these 100% USA made putters offer a traditional look combined with game improvement features, making them among the most playable putters on the market. Adds Mr. Mitchell, "When we designed the Machine Art Blade models, we wanted to improve on current putter technology. Our CNC-milled models offer unmatched attention to tolerances for superior consistency. The soft milled brass inserts provide a soft feel and reduce skidding as compared to other soft insert putters. We are looking forward to a great year with the new putters." The Machine Art Blade series consists of two models. The OS Blade offers an offset hosel and a high moment of inertia through its heel-toe weighting. For those who prefer a face-balanced model, the FB Blade is a good choice. Displaying heel-toe weighting to help square the putter, the FB Blade is perfect for those with a straight back, straight through stroke. Both blade putters feature Mitchell's Through Face Insert (TFI) Technology. The fact that the 360-brass insert actually goes through the entire club face, combined with its soft Rockwell Hardness of HRB25, provides superior feel on the greens. Add double face milling which ensures the face is flat to within .001" and skidding is reduced, again improving accuracy. The heads are milled from carbon steel and finished in a tour-preferred NiCr finish. Assembled in the USA with Finest Quality True Temper putter shafts and proprietary Mitchella Golf Pride putter grips, the machine Art Putters are one of the few American made and assembled putters available today. Designed to retail at $199.00, the Machine Art Blade putters will be available in February, in either standard or Mitchell Custom-Fitted lie and length specifications. Putters may be ordered by calling 800-437-1314.
