Nike Golf discloses details on its new Forged Drivers, Irons and Wedges set to debut at the PGA Merchandise Show in January. This year's British Open winner, David Duval, has been playing all the clubs in competition on the PGA Tour this year but Nike has been tight-lipped about the new equipment.

Raymond and Robert Floyd both wore Softspikes' Black Widow cleats to victory last weekend at the Office Depot Father/Son Challenge. Raymond wears Black Widow cleats every week on the Senior PGA Tour, and had them on his shoes when he captured the 2000 Ford Senior Players Championship.

The LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division announces the 2001 recipients of its national awards. Nancy Henderson is named Professional of the Year, Kathy Murphy is Teacher of the Year and Dianne Dailey at Wake Forest University is Coach of the Year. The T&CP Division's Executive Committee selects the national award winners from the pool of sectional award winners voted on by the members of five regional sections.

Callaway Golf Staff Professional Ty Tryon, 17, becomes the youngest player ever to earn a PGA Tour card with his bogey-free final-round performance at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament. Ben Crane, another Callaway Golf Staff Professional, also secured his 2002 PGA Tour card by finishing tied for fifth at the event.
