Open Championship Impressions

Reader's Forum allows you, The Wire reader, to weigh in on the issues and topics surrounding the game.

The 131st British Open is over. Muirfield Golf Links was a fair test, Tiger Woods' quest for the Grand Slam was shut and Ernie Els eventually won a playoff over three other players. What were your impressions of the year's third major?

Let us know your opinions by sending your responses to info@gpagolf.com with the subject line RE: Impressions. Also include your first initial and last name, along with your email address.

Last week Reader's Forum asked:

The Masters uses a sudden death playoff format. The U.S. Open uses an 18-hole playoff. At the British Open and PGA Championships, four- and three-hole aggregate playoffs break ties. Which of the three formats do you prefer and why -- or would you like to see another format implemented?
