FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (April 24, 2003) - TravelGolf.com/WorldGolf.com, publishers of the world's highest read collection of online travel and golf publications, announced Thursday that it acquired GolfCanada.com for an undisclosed amount. GolfCanada.com has been one of Canada's oldest and highest read golf sites prior to running into financial problems some six months ago.

TravelGolf.com President Robert Lewis subsequently announced that CanadaGolfer.com would be merged and renamed to GolfCanada.com to take advantage of existing search engine rankings and readership levels. TravelGolf.com launched CanadaGolfer.com on April 4, 2003 to anchor its Canadian golf coverage. Lewis added that he expects to make several more important Canadian acquisitions soon.

"TravelGolf.com and WorldGolf.com have long been a serious outlet for Canadian golf and travel features," said GolfCanada.com Associate Editor John Gordon. "It's impressive to see the TravelGolf.com network increase its presence in a country that takes its golf seriously, and with good reason."

OntarioGolf.com and RockiesGolf.com have been two stalwart TravelGolf.com publications dedicated to Canada.

John Gordon, CanadaGolfer.com associate editor, will assume editorial duties for GolfCanada.com. Gordon has over 15 years of experience writing and reporting on the Canadian golf scene, and is the former editor of Canada's Score magazine. Gordon was also the seminal force behind the resurrection of the Royal Canadian Golf Association's Golf Canada magazine.

Publishing since 1995, TravelGolf.com/WorldGolf.com publications are a debt-free, profitable dot-com chain that has successfully generated revenues through advertising, lead generation, tee times and private label golf packaging. The company's online publications have garnered international awards, including a Forbes "Best of the Web" Award for 2002 (http://www.travelgolfmedia.com/press/09-29-02.htm), and have received national recognition in Sports Illustrated (http://www.travelgolfmedia.com/press/01-15-02.htm), Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, GolfWeek and Turnstile's Golf and Travel Magazine.

TravelGolf.com, purveyor of the world's most content rich golf and travel publications, owns and operates 30 online publications including ScotlandGolf.com, OntarioGolf.com, MyrtlebeachGolf.com, MichiganGolf.com, LasVegasGolf.com, AustraliaGolf.com, GolfOhio.com, GolfCalifornia.com, GolfCarolina.com, PinehurstGolf.com, HiltonheadGolf.com, GolfFlorida.com and GolfArizona.com.
