FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 18, 2003) - TravelGolf.com, publishers of the world's highest read chain of online golf and travel publications, announced Tuesday that it will launch MontereyGolf.com, a publication focusing exclusively on California's breathtaking Monterey Peninsula. MontereyGolf.com will be backed by TravelGolf.com's heavily-hit GolfCalifornia.com the Internet's longest running, continuously updated golf and travel publication.

"The idea behind MontereyGolf.com is to have one place where you can ascertain all of the information you need in order to plan a golf trip, in regards to hotels, the best of nearly 30 golf courses in the area, the best restaurants and things to do in the greater Monterey Peninsula area," said Bill Hogan, president of Wide World of Golf, the publication's lead sponsor.

TravelGolf.com also bought out GolfMonterey.com, a golf guide published since 1999.

Hogan believes that Wide World of Golf's strong position in the Monterey Peninsula golf market and TravelGolf.com's cutting-edge design, editorial leadership, and unrivaled search engine rankings will combine to produce the most comprehensive and insightful publication on the market pertaining to this golf-rich region. Readers will also have access to Wide World of Golf's wide array of golf packages and legendary customer service.

"Wide World of Golf is the oldest golf tour package company in America," Hogan said. "We,ve been around for 46 years and since we are headquartered here in the Monterey Peninsula, we are uniquely qualified to bring the best of our area to consumers around the globe."

The Monterey Peninsula is one of the world's top golf destinations, and has been recognized by Golf Digest, TravelGolf.com and other national golf publications as the creme de la creme of upscale golf in the U.S. Pebble Beach is the region's most recognizable name, but the nearly 30 others courses, including Quail Lodge, Bayonet and Black Horse as well as the hotels in both Carmel and Monterey make the Monterey Peninsula must-play golf travelers all over the world.

"The Monterey Peninsula is one of the ultimate golf destinations for the discerning golfer," said TravelGolf Media President Robert Lewis. "With GolfCalifornia.com and Wide World of Golf behind it, I believe MontereyGolf.com is poised to become the industry leader in covering this esteemed area."

Publishing since 1995, TravelGolf.com and its related companies is a debt-free, profitable dot-com chain that has successfully generated revenues through advertising, lead generation, tee times and private label golf packaging ownership. The company's online publications have garnered international awards, including a Forbes "Best of the Web" Award for 2002, and have received national recognition in Sports Illustrated, Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, GolfWeek and Turnstile's Golf and Travel Magazine.

TravelGolf.com publishes 25 online travel and golf publications including ScotlandGolf.com, OntarioGolf.com, MyrtlebeachGolf.com, MichiganGolf.com, LasVegasGolf.com, AustraliaGolf.com, GolfOhio.com, GolfCalifornia.com, GolfCarolina.com, PinehurstGolf.com, HiltonheadGolf.com, GolfFlorida.com and GolfArizona.com.
