Save Mart Shootout Seeking Volunteers Contact Terri Wheeler FRESNO, Calif. (August 21, 2003) - The Save Mart Shootout tournament staff is seeking more than 300 volunteers to help with many aspects of running the two-day golf tournament. All volunteers will serve on committees and be asked to work at least two shifts (4-6 hours per shift). Assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals may volunteer for the following committees: admissions/will call, caddie, course services, grounds, hospitality, information services, marshals, pro-am services, scoring central, set-up/take-down, transportation, volunteer headquarters and walking scorer. To ensure that the Save Mart Shootout achieves its goals for charitable contribution, volunteers are required to purchase a Volunteer Package for $30. The package includes one golf shirt, a hat, a credential for the tournament, a guest pass for the tournament, food and beverage on the days worked and a certificate for one round of golf at Riverbend Golf Club. The Save Mart Shootout will bring some of the world's best PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour players to Riverbend Golf Club in Fresno, Calif., October 12-13, 2003, for an 18-hole, best-ball format tournament. Professionals who have committed to play include: Peter Jacobsen, Suzy Whaley, Amy Alcott, Beth Bauer, Natalie Gulbis, Mhairi McKay, Laura Diaz, Carin Koch, Juli Inkster, Casey Martin, Mike Springer, David Sutherland, Kevin Sutherland, Esteban Toledo and Nick Watney.
