Turner Sports Announces Broadcast Schedule For The 2003 PGA Grand Slam Of Golf Contact Julius Mason PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (April 10, 2003) - The TNT Network has announced its broadcast schedule for the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the season-ending showcase of golf's major champions, which returns for the 10th consecutive year to Poipu Bay Golf Course and Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa, Dec. 5-6. TNT will broadcast the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, Friday, Dec. 5, from 3:30 p.m.-7 p.m., EST. Coverage concludes Saturday, Dec. 6, from 4-7 p.m. EST. The PGA Grand Slam of Golf - which has the most difficult qualification in the game - brings together the winners of the year's four major championships, the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship. The event is televised each year to some 86.7 million U.S. homes by TNT Network, and to more than 100 countries worldwide. The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is a two-day, 36-hole event featuring a $1,000,000 purse. Last year's PGA Grand Slam of Golf saw Tiger Woods capture his fifth consecutive title with a tournament- and course-record 11-under-par 61. He finished with a record 17-under-par 127 to win by 14 strokes over Justin Leonard and David Love III. PGA Champion Rich Been finished fourth. |
