WASHINGTON (August 8, 2002) - Whether it's buying fractional jet shares before it was fashionable or staying among golf's elite over a twenty-year period, Scott Hoch has made a name for himself as a champion golfer whose business acumen rivals that of fortune 100 CEOs. In his latest venture, he combines golf with technology, tapping into the heads of some of the country's top rocket scientists and developing golf innovations that have already created a buzz in the golf community.

Partnering with Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. Hoch is working with the former NASA engineering team to create the ultimate system for perfecting golf equipment. Described as "Balance-Certified Technology," and utilized in the Pro-Balance line of products, this cutting edge technology can be installed in any brand of golf equipment. The Pro-Balance line of products introduces weights that improve the club's inertial stability. The strategically located weights, which are fitted to each golfer's individual needs, promote a smooth stroke or swing that is less susceptible to unwanted stroke path deviation. In layman's terms, if these engineers can put people on the moon then creating applied golf technology, with advice from one of the world's top golfers, should be no problem. Hoch has improved his putting since testing the Pro- Balance product line in his clubs, moving in 2001 from outside top 50 to 1st in putts per green in regulation.

"I am excited to formalize my relationship with Balance-Certified Golf and develop the most technologically innovative golf products," says Scott Hoch. "My belief in this technology is recommitted every time I finish a tournament. I have been playing some of the best golf of my career since I began my association with the Pro-Balance line."

Hoch has been a PGA Tour professional since 1980. From 1982, he has finished in the top 40 on the money list every year except 1992, when he was hampered by shoulder surgery. In over 22 years of PGA Tour play, Hoch has had 10 Tour victories and 6 International wins. Scott Hoch has played on a number of national teams including, Walker Cup ('79), The Presidents Cup ('94, '96, '98) and Ryder Cup ('97).

"We are excited to announce our partnership with Scott Hoch," says Jeff Lindner, President Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. "Scott's tenure as one of the PGA Tour's most elite and respected athletes, allows our company to associate with a golf professional who brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. With Scott as a partner, we feel confident that we will deliver the most cutting edge technology available to golf enthusiasts around the world."

Founded 3 years ago, Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. is the first golf equipment company to quantify and define "feel." They have accomplished this by applying state-of-the-art aerospace analysis technologies to golf clubs resulting in the development of the Pro-Balance shaft-weighting system. The company's adjustable system can be installed in any manufacturer's clubs and provides the golfer with the ability to tune the feel of his clubs to his own personal preference.
