SELLERSBURG, Ind. (March 18, 2003) - Jim Whittemore, V.P. of Worldwide
Sales for The Putting Peg and The Putting Pod, announced today that agreements
have been reached to distribute Fuzzy's putting aids to the 12 million
golfers in Japan through three major distributors, Lite Shokai, Golf
System Works and Create Products. These distributors will cover the corporate
premium markets as well as over 3,000 retail golf outlets throughout
all of Japan.
"We continue to see international interest in these effective and fun
putting aids that Fuzzy personally invented," said Whittemore. "We fully
expect to have full distribution for these aids throughout the entire
Pacific Rim by the end of the year, as well as the UK. Combine that with
our domestic and Canadian distribution and we are well on our way to
worldwide exposure," Whittemore continued.
Zoeller won The 2002 Senior PGA Championship at Firestone Country Club
and tallied an amazing ten one-putt greens on the final day on his way
to victory. He then followed that up with another victory, the season
ending Senior Slam on the strength of his putting. PGA TOUR professional
Robert Gamez went from 145th to 12th in putting in just one season while
using Zoeller's putting aids. These stories can be viewed at www.puttingpeg.com.
Zoeller's aids combine
the benefits of putting to a small target (1 1/4 inches in diameter
as compared to a regulation golf hole at 4 1/4 inches)
with the positive psychological lift all golfers experience when hearing
the ball fall in the hole. It's the most powerful combination in golf,
and is accomplished by a state-of-the-art patent pending mini speaker
and battery system that emits the sound of a ball falling in the hole
when the unit is struck by a golf ball. The entire story can be viewed
at www.puttingpeg.com.
"Both Fuzzy and I knew we were onto something special when we started
working with prototypes and asked golfers to putt to them for the first
time," said Dave Lobeck, President of Fuzzy Zoeller Productions, Inc. "We
knew if golfers had fun using them, they would be a hit. Everyone who
tried it broke out into a smile when they first heard the sound of the
ball fall into the hole," Lobeck continued. "It's not inconceivable that
we might have one of the more popular training aids in golf worldwide."
"The Putting Peg TM" and "The Putting Pod TM" are
available in retail outlets such as Kmart, Dick's Sporting Goods, Golfsmith,
Discovery Stores,
Edwin Watts, Roger Dunn, Big 5, Academy, as well as pro shops all over
the country. |
