PGA Of America Hires Alday-Waynick Communications To Promote National Growth Of The Game Grant Program

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (February 14, 2002) -- The PGA of America has hired Alday-Waynick Communications (AWC), a full-service public relations firm, to promote its $2 million Growth of the Game Grant program.

The agency will assist in developing public relations strategies, communications input as well as proactively seeking media placement on The PGA of America's national grant program.

Through The PGA of America's charitable arm, The PGA Foundation, this initiative provides funds for PGA members who create or significantly enhance programs that reach kids, women, young adults and golfers with disabilities nationwide. Just recently, The PGA of America announced its first 33 grant recipients totaling $500,000.

The PGA Foundation provides resources and support to community-based programs designed to help grow the game of golf through PGA Professionals touching hundreds of thousands of people each year through golf.

Alday-Waynick Communications has been serving the golf industry since its inception in 1994. Its past and current golf clients include Arnold Palmer Golf Company, NancyLopezGolf, Del Webb Golf, Greystone Golf Course, McCumber Golf, LPGA players Val Skinner, Dottie Pepper and Rosie Jones.
