(August 20, 2003) - Jim Thorpe moved from 26th to 24th place in the
Power Performance Rankings with his victory at the Long Island Classic.
Craig Stadler dropped from 2nd to 4th due to a T24 finish, his second
lowest since turning pro, and Bruce Lietzke returns to the 2nd place
in the standings. Most of the rest of the top 20 remained within one
spot of their position after last week's play.
Others making moves up included: Graham Marsh, from 36th to 32nd; Bruce
Summerhays from 35th to 31st; Jose Maria Canizares from 48th to 46th;
John Harris from 50th to 48th; Jerry McGee from 52nd to 47th.
Others moving down included: Dana Quigley from 19th to 20th; Stewart
Ginn from 21st to 25th; Eamonn Darcy from 33rd to 35th; Isao Aoki from
31st to 33rd.
Biggest moves: Dick Mast from 46th to 38th; Mike McCullough, from 22nd
to 16th.
Dropped for insufficient points: Dale Douglass, Jay Overton.
Last column is position on Champions Tour money list.
