Grace Park Tees Up Nike Golf To Start LPGA Season Contact Dean Stoyer BEAVERTON, Ore. (March 13, 2003) - Looking at the clubs in Grace Park's bag today, you may not recognize the woman who finished the LPGA Tour ranked sixth on the money list in 2002. Park has had a busy off-season and likewise for club, apparel and footwear teams at Nike Golf as they've prepared the 23-year old for the start of her fourth year on tour, the first as a member of the Nike Golf Tour Staff. Outfitted completely in apparel and footwear from Nike Golf, Park will tee up the new TA2 SPN and a new set of Nike Golf clubs for her first event, the Welch's/Fry's Championship in Tucson, today through April 16. Last month, Park spent four days with Nike Golf's product teams and management in Ft. Worth, Texas and Beaverton, Oregon to determine the equipment, apparel and footwear mix that will be right for her to begin the 2003 LPGA season while also taking a look at some future projects that will require Park's feedback throughout the year. Park prefers the TA2 SPN's lower trajectory and slightly higher spin rate to that of the new TA2 LNG. The split among Nike Golf's Tour Staff on the PGA Tour has been about 50/50 at this point in the season. In her Tour Staff bag, Park will carry Nike Golf's 400cc Forged Titanium Driver with a 9-degree loft; the 3 (15-degree), 4 (17-degree), and 5 (19-degree) T-40 Tour Fairway Woods; the Forged Pro Combo Irons (4-PW); and the 53, 54 and 58-degree Forged Wedges. Nike Golf's footwear team presented Park with selections from the Verdana Collection that she will alternate wearing to begin the season. The apparel lines that Park will choose from come from Nike Golf's current Spring/Summer '03 collections aptly named Optic, Candy, Hot and Pearl. Nike Golf, located in Beaverton, Oregon, is passionately dedicated to honoring and respecting the traditions and heritage of the game, and to providing committed golfers with the absolute best equipment in the game in every product category.
