LPGA's Donna Andrews To Serve as Honorary Chair of the EWGA's "Member-Get-A-Member" Campaign Contact Karen Moraghan PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (March 13, 2003) - Donna Andrews, LPGA Tour player, will serve as the honorary chair of the 2003 Executive Women's Golf Association Member-Get-A-Member campaign. This program, started in 2000, is the organization's most successful recruitment tool and has resulted in over 8000 new members joining the organization in the past two years. Andrews will be the spokesperson for the program and will play an 18-hole round of golf with the EWGA's "Recruiter of the Year," the member who brings in the most new members in 2003. "Our members are ardent fans of Donna Andrews and will most certainly be motivated by the opportunity to play a round of golf with Donna," said EWGA Executive Director Sara Hume. "With Donna's support, we can expect stellar results in our membership growth in 2003." The EWGA is the preeminent organization for business women interested in promoting and fostering a spirit of acceptance through golf. Last year's Member-Get-A-Member Campaign resulted in nearly 4000 new members joining the EWGA as a result of being recruited by over 2300 current members. Meg Mallon was the 2002 chair, preceded by Juli Inkster in 2001 and in 2000, Michelle McGann kicked off the inaugural campaign. Andrews has six LPGA victories to her credit, which include The Longs Drugs Challenge in 1998 at Twelve Bridges Golf Club, Lincoln, Calif, The Welch's /Circle K Championship in 1997 and The Ping/Welch's Championship in 1994 at Randolph North Golf Course, Tucson, Ariz., The Shoprite LPGA Classic in 1994, Greate Bay Resort & Country Club, Somers Point, N.J., Nabisco Championship in 1994, Dinah Shore Course at Mission Hills Country Club, Rancho Mirage, Calif., and The Ping/Cellular One Championship in 1993 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club, Portland, Ore. In 1996, Andrews and teammate Mike Hulbert won the $1.5 million JC Penney Classic, the biggest win of her career, beating Tiger Woods and his teammate Kelli Kuehne. Her most successful year on the LPGA Tour was 1998, when Andrews finished the season as the top-ranked American and was third on the money list. Last season she posted four top-10 finishes, including a 7th place tie at the Safeway LPGA Golf Championship.
