PORTLAND, Ore. (August 5, 2003) -- Peter Jacobsen Productions (PJP), has named Bob Burris tournament director for the Bayer Advantage Celebrity Pro-Am, according to Ed Ellis, president and chief operating officer.

Burris is no stranger to the PGA TOUR. In 1994, Burris became the Champions Tour (formerly the Senior PGA Tour) Sponsors Associations first executive director. While serving as director, he was responsible for being the liaison between each tournament on the Tour and the Champions Tour office. Since that time, Burris has served as executive director for two Champions Tour events at the same time - the ACE Group Classic and The American Express Invitational, which partnered with Major League Baseball.

Burris' career has also included time as business manager for the Denver Bears Baseball Club, vice president of marketing and corporate sponsorships for the Denver Nuggets, director of sales and marketing for the LPGA and sports sales specialist for KOA Radio.

"Bob definitely has the leadership and knowledge in producing PGA TOUR events," said Ellis. "We are very excited to have him join the PJP team and look forward to Bob doing great things at the Bayer Advantage Celebrity Pro-Am."

The Bayer Advantage Celebrity Pro-Am is a second-year tournament on the Champions Tour. The event will take place June 7-13, 2003, at The National Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo.
