WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (February 26, 2002) -- Traditional Golf Properties announced the appointment of Timothy E. Green as the Head PGA Golf Professional of The Tradition Golf Club at Stonehouse. Green will oversee the golf operations, instruction and membership programs and report to Brian O'Day, Regional Vice President of Operations.

Prior to joining the Traditional Golf Properties, Green, a class "A" PGA Golf Professional since 1984, spent three years at Two Rivers Country Club in Williamsburg. Prior to Two Rivers Country Club, Green was the Head Golf Professional at Cypress Creek Golfers Club in Smithfield, Virginia and the Assistant Golf Professional at James River Country Club in Newport News, Virginia.

"We are delighted to have Tim join us at Stonehouse. He has excellent experience in both high-end daily fee courses and private clubs and will make a great addition to our team at Stonehouse. He is a terrific golf instructor and will spend much of his time working with our members and developing our new membership program," commented Brian O'Day.

Stonehouse Golf Club opened in the Spring of 1996 and was designed by awarding-winning architect Mike Stranz. This par 71 championship course has received numerous awards including the Golf Digest honors of "The Best New Upscale Course" in 1996, the highest award any new course can achieve, as well as the rating as "The Fourth Best Course in Virginia." The golf club is located in the state-of-the-art master-planned residential community of Stonehouse.

"I am pleased to be joining the Traditional Golf Properties at Stonehouse Golf Club. The golf course and clubhouse are fantastic and I look forward to implementing programs and providing excellent service that will be enjoyable for both our members and daily fee golfers," stated Green.

Royal New Kent Golf Course

In addition to Stonehouse Golf Club, Traditional Golf Properties also own and manages Royal New Kent in nearby New Kent County. Royal New Kent also opened to rave reviews in the Fall of 1996 with its Irish links style course designed by Mike Stranz. Golf Digest also awarded this par 72 championship course "The Best New Upscale Course" in 1997, in addition to the honors of "Top 100 Golf Course in the United States". The course and clubhouse are reminiscent of the historic aspects of golf found at the great links of Royal County Down and Ballybunion in Ireland.
