Annika Sorenstam & Lorie Kane to Headline LPGA Takefuji Classic Golf Channel to Televise First LPGA Event of 2002

ORLANDO, Fla. (February 20, 2002) -- 2001 LPGA Rolex Player of the Year Annika Sorenstam, defending champion Lorie Kane and Laura Diaz have confirmed early entry into the LPGA Takefuji Classic, which will be televised by TGC, Feb. 28-March 2.

The network will dedicate at least 15 hours of programming to this year's event. Host Kraig Kann and analyst Donna Caponi will be in the broadcast booth with Kay Cockerill reporting from the course.

In 2002, The Golf Channel will televise at minimum of 10 LPGA events, including the Longs Drugs Challenge, the LPGA Corning Classic and the Safeway Classic. For more information, log on to www.TheGolfChannel.com.
