Question:

This week Suzy Whaley will tee it up in the PGA Tour's Greater Hartford Open. How do you think Whaley will perform - will she miss the cut, make the cut or contend?

Your Responses:

I think she will make the cut, and help find a major sponsor for the tournament by all the media hoopla.

Miss cut, will not contend.

I don't think she will make the cut. Not from the back tees.

How do I think Whaley will perform in the Greater Hartford Open? I don't think the issue is "how she plays or if she'll make the cut, etc". By Friday afternoon in the Colonial, Annika had won the hearts of even the most ardent opposition of her participation in that tournament. Moments like that do more for the game of golf than the promotion of any one player at any given time.

I don't think that Suzy Whaley will make the cut at this tournament.

She will miss the cut. But I wish her all the luck in the world.

In the July 18 issue of the GPA newletter, I take pride in my close to correct prediction in the Open that Tiger wouldn't win and that one of "them" (those who are expected to win majors) would win.

Ol' "White Tee" Whaley? I could care less how she does. It is a travesty that she is allowed to compete this week based the tee advantage given to her during her qualifying rounds. Why don't they just let her play from the reds!!!

As much as I would like her to make the cut, even with her husband as the GM at the course, I believe she won't.

D. Waitkus

She will make the cut.

Suzy will miss the cut by a rather large margin even though she will play well but she will make golf proud. She is one great club professional -- she believes golf is a great game for whole family. She isn't doing it for any other reason than she earned it and the rules said she was entitled to play. If you are threatened by Suzy, you have other issues that need resolution and none of us can help you.

It seems to me that we'll just have to wait and see!

Probably last.
