ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (February 11, 2003) - World Golf Hall of Fame will recognize some of golf's most colorful, avid amateurs - former United States Presidents - in a new exhibit and self-guided tour that will debut on Friday, Feb. 14 and remain on display through April 30.

The new exhibit, Presidential Golf - The Memorabilia of the White House Golfers, is part of a cooperative loan program with the United States Golf Association (USGA). The exhibit features anecdotes, personal memorabilia and equipment, including a "fishing pole" driver used by Taft, Eisenhower's monogrammed Titleist ("IKE") and Hogan ("Mr. President") golf balls, and Kennedy's scorecard from Seminole Golf Club on March 8, 1961.

The presidential self-guided tour will give visitors insight into such trivia as Gerald Ford's accident-prone game to a youthful Franklin Roosevelt's majestic drives.

In addition, a contest to win $10,000 will take place on the island green Challenge Hole throughout Presidents' Day weekend, Feb. 14-17.

The World Golf Hall of Fame is open daily. Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for senior adults 55 and up and $7 for children five and up. For more information about Presidents' Day weekend activities at World Golf Hall of Fame, call 904-940-4123 or visit www.wgv.com.
