Top Buyers and Members of Golf's Leading Organizations Register to Attend the 2002 PGA Merchandise Show

NORWALK, Conn. (January 4, 2002) -- Thousands of influential buyers and members of golf's leading organizations have registered to attend the 2002 PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 24-27. As the world's largest golf trade show, the PGA Merchandise Show attracts some 53,000 industry professionals to preview the latest products of more than 1,400 exhibitors in 700,000 square feet of exhibit space in Orlando's Orange County Convention Center.

"The widespread participation of golf's leading organizations and buyers from around the world have made the PGA Merchandise Show the most significant international golf marketplace during the past 48 years," said PGA Golf Exhibitions Vice President and Show Manager Christopher McCabe. Pre-registration has recently opened and large buying groups such as Austad's, Copeland's, Edwin Watts, Golfer's Warehouse, Golf America, Golfsmith, Hacker's Helper and Washington Golf Centers are sending top staff to the event. PGA Golf Exhibitions provides special amenities and services such as pre-show planning aids and on-site lounges to some 600 influential buyers as part of the event organizer's Key Buyer Program.

Additionally, golf's leading organizations will participate in the 2002 PGA Merchandise Show. Once again, The PGA of America, a partner in presenting the event, will service their members with a comprehensive Member Business Center, education programs, a member reception and membership points for attending the event. Also, numerous industry-related associations are hosting conferences, seminars and member lounges including the Association of Golf Merchandisers, Golf Range Association of America, National Golf Course Owners Association, Association of Golf Exhibitors, National Club Association, National Golf Salesman Association and National Golf Tournament Directors Association.
