The first day of the PGA Fall Expo began with 21 professional development programs ranging from player retention to merchandising and changing demographics to golf business management. Several hundred attendees participated in the popular seminars, presented in partnership with The PGA of America, the Association of Golf Merchandisers and other leading golf organizations, at the SDCC from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The traditional trade show portion of the PGA Fall Expo opened at noon and saw 351 manufacturers on hand to display equipment, accessories, apparel, training aids and services within 60,000 square feet of exhibit space. PGA professionals, retailers, mass merchandisers and industry leaders also were able to personally test equipment at indoor driving, pitching and putting facilities located in the popular 19th Hole exhibit of the convention center.

The first day's action concluded with the inaugural Demo & BBQ event where attendees personally tested products, accessories and services of 19 exhibitors, including Callaway, Nike, and Wilson, at Riverwalk Golf Club from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. The after-hours demo featured hitting bays for equipment companies, a putting green, non-equipment exhibits and a free barbecue from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
