NORWALK, Conn. (July 29, 2003) - Thousands of PGA professionals, golf retailers, manufacturers and industry leaders will converge in San Diego for the industry's premier fall marketplace, the 2003 PGA Fall Expo, Aug. 5-7, at the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC). The PGA Fall Expo, a Trade Show Top 200 Show, will feature products, accessories and services of more than 300 golf-related exhibitors; 41 professional development seminars; and an exciting new Demo & BBQ the first night of the event.

"The new Demo & BBQ night, the expanded education conference, a popular host city, plus more than 300 golf-related exhibitors combine for a unique and valuable marketplace," said PGA Golf Exhibitions Vice President and Show Manager Christopher McCabe. "We look forward to providing a productive setting where our colleagues can network, learn and conduct the business of the game."

As the country's second largest marketplace for retailers of golf related products, the PGA Fall Expo traditionally provides the opportunity for buyers from more than 30 countries to view trends, plan seasonal merchandise, and purchase new equipment, apparel, training aids, and services. In addition to the 60,000 net square feet of golf exhibits, the Show floor also will feature an interactive golf area for buyers to personally test equipment and accessories. The exhibits will be open from noon until 5:30 p.m. on August 5th, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on August 6th, and from 9:00a.m. until 1 p.m. on August 7th.

PGA Golf Exhibitions will present 41 professional development programs in partnership with The PGA of America, the Association of Golf Merchandisers, and other leading associations Aug. 5-6, from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the SDCC.

Education seminars include retailing topics that range from buying strategies to retail trends and holiday merchandising. Other seminar topics include patents & copyrights, fitness, strategic business planning, teaching and growing the game.

The new Demo & BBQ will be staged the first night of the PGA Fall Expo to provide a fun and casual setting for attendees to personally test products, accessories, and services of nineteen golf manufacturers at the Riverwalk Golf Club in San Diego. The Demo is open to all 2003 PGA Fall Expo attendees presenting their event badge, and will feature hitting bays for equipment companies, a putting green, non-equipment exhibits, and a free barbecue from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The Demo & BBQ will take place on Aug. 5th, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. with complimentary shuttle service from the SDCC provided by PGA Golf Exhibitions.
