ING Conference Headed For The Rockies Keystone Resort Will Host Annual Gathering Of Media, Business Leaders Contact Mike Jamison LAKE MARY, Fla. (April 24, 2003) - Keystone Resort in Colorado will host the 13th edition of the ING Spring Conference June 1-5. Over 200 people are expected at this annual gathering of media and golf and travel industry leaders, conducted in conjunction with the 13-year-old International Network of Golf Members Association. INGMA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance and promote communication and education in golf. The ING Conference was held in Pinehurst May 12-16 last year, and attracted many of the major golf associations, four dozen leading golf companies and nearly 100 golf media and travel from across North America. TaylorMade launched its new R500 Series drivers at this conference, National Short Course Championship debuted its pilot program, and GolfGear International introduced its new management team, including PGA Tour player Dave Stockton Jr. TaylorMade again will use the conference to launch a new product, a new line of fairway woods. Panelists for workshops include Wilson CEO Jim Baugh, NGF's Joe Beditz, golf travel packager Jeff Hamilton of Golfpac, author Debbie Steinbach, architect Michael Hurdzan, and representatives of various golf associations and businesses. Travel businesses involved include GolfOrlando, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, Pinehurst Area CVB, World Golf Village, Eagle Ridge Resort, Vail Resorts, and others. A diverse ING itinerary will be in place, with workshops, speakers, the Demo Lab and Skills Challenge and the The ING Exhibition Hall GolfEXPO. There will also be plenty of golf and networking opportunities, as well as the annual INGMA Media Awards banquet. "We are thrilled that the International Network of Golf has selected Keystone Resort as the site for the conference," said Steve Corneillier, director of golf courses for Keystone. "With two championship courses - The River Course (Hurdzan-Fry design) and Keystone Ranch Golf Course (Robert Trent Jones, Jr.) - I'm confident the conference-goers will appreciate the challenging golf our courses offer, as well as the breathtaking views of the Rockies. And for ING members who haven't played at courses at this altitude, they will finally see just how far their ball travels at 9,300 feet above sea level." INGMA Executive Director Mike Jamison says that INGMA members are in for a rare treat. "I had heard a great deal about Keystone and the stunning vistas as it pertained to skiing," said Jamison. "But the golf experience there is unbelievable. Our attendees who haven't experienced Keystone are in for the surprise of their lives."
