Chris Wall NEWNAN, Ga. (March 1, 2002) -- Yamaha Golf-Car Company is gearing up in preparation for the grand opening of its' new state-of-the-art golf car manufacturing facility. Bill Szarowicz, company vice-president says, "We see this expansion as not only an expansion of employees and facilities, we see this as an expansion of customer commitment. Part of Yamaha's planning for the future has come in the form of adding new employees to some key positions and promoting existing employees to new levels of responsibility. Yamaha has recently hired Chris Wall as National Marketing Manager. Chris, who was with the Yamaha Motorsports division for seven years, most recently held the position of National Advertising Manager. Chris will oversee all of the marketing, advertising and public relations for Yamaha Golf-Car. In addition, Joe Yurgiewicz has accepted the position of International Sales Manager. Joe has more than 2 decades of international experience in both the sales and service of transportation vehicles. He comes to Yamaha from one of the world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers. He will be in charge of expanding Yamaha's presence in foreign markets around the world. Jon Bammann, formerly the National Sales Manager of Special Projects has been promoted to Division Manager, New Business Development /Off Fairway Vehicles. Jon will spearhead new business opportunities for Yamaha Golf-Car Company. The biggest investment Yamaha has made in the future of their golf car and utility vehicle business can be clearly seen from Highway 34 in Newnan, Georgia. This new 31 million dollar 220,000 square foot, state-of-the-art factory will be dedicated to golf car and utility vehicle production. This will be the newest edition to the YMMC campus which has the coveted ISO 9001 & 14001 certification. This insures that the new factory will have a big effect on the local economy, and no negative effect on the local environment.
