CARLSBAD, Calif. (August 12, 2003) - Sonartec Golf ranked 3rd for fairway woods in play at The International this past weekend. 14 players at the event put 17 Sonartec clubs in play. It is the second straight week Sonartec has finished 3rd on the PGA Tour in the Darrell Survey ranking.

The young startup that specializes in premium fairway woods has now captured the distinguished 3rd place ranking 6 times on the PGA Tour in 2003 and has owned the 3rd place spot 3 out of the last 4 weeks on Tour.

According to the company, the T.R.C Utility Wood is helping boost the company's growth on the Tour. According to the Darrell Survey, 27 T.R.C's have been in play since the start of July.

The 6 times that Sonartec has ranked 3rd have been a big deal to the small, fledgling company out of Carlsbad, CA.

"We are very grateful to have so many PGA Tour players play our products," said Sonartec President and CEO Toru Kamatari. "To finish 3rd means we are only behind our fellow competitors Taylor Made and Callaway and to us, that is a good place to be."

In 2003, 72 players on the "big" Tour have used 425 Sonartec clubs. The tournaments that Sonartec has ranked 3rd include The International, the Buick Open, the British Open, the Buick Classic, the Byron Nelson Championship and the Ford Championship at Doral.
