(August 6, 2002) - "The PGA of America has long supported the United States Golf Association in its role of establishing the Rules of Golf governing play and equipment and will continue this support. The recent ruling on the Coefficient of Restitution of driving clubs establishes a uniformity in the rules for professional tournaments both here and abroad beginning in 2003, something which the PGA believes is in the best interests of the game."
