Nike Golf's Beth Daniel Captures First LPGA Title In '03 While Grace Park Takes Third At Canadian Open Contact Dean Stoyer BEAVERTON, Ore. (July 15, 2003) - Nike Golf's Beth Daniel earned her first 2003 victory on the LPGA Tour this past weekend while fellow Tour Staffer Grace Park finished in third, just four strokes behind Daniel. Daniel and Park were playing in the Canadian Women's Open at Point Grey Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, B.C. Daniel won with Nike Golf's Tour Accuracy TW golf ball while sporting the Verdana Cap-Toe from the '03 Verdana Collection. She had the win in hand while wearing the Elite Feel performance golf glove. Park teed up Nike Golf's 400cc Forged Titanium Driver and the faster core TA2 LNG golf ball. It is no coincidence that she is currently ranked fourth on the LPGA Tour in Driving Distance at 267.2. In addition to her equipment, Park is stylish in Nike Golf's apparel and footwear for women. The week before at the U.S. Women's Open, Park debuted Nike Golf's new sport performance shoe for women, the SP5, catching even Nike Golf's footwear team by surprise. "Grace received the new SP5 shoes in her size at the beginning of the Open week and showed up in practice with them on Wednesday," said Chris Crawford, Product Line Manager for Footwear. "She enjoys that sassy look in a high-performance shoe. We're excited about launching them this fall with Grace and rest of our LPGA Tour Staff players." The SP5 will be available at golf shops and golf specialty stores on October 1, in Black, Ruby, Navy Blue, Quicksand and Tan Vecchio with a suggested retail price of $90. Both Daniel and Park pick up again this week, competing in the Sybase Big Apple Classic at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, N.Y.
