(August 18, 2003) - Tim Clark, playing the new Nike One golf ball, made a bid to keep Nike Golf's streak of consecutive years with a "Major ball win" alive but came up three strokes short on Sunday at the PGA Championship. No small feat, however, Clark's 69 in the final round was good enough for third place in the final Major of the year. He was also one of only three players to finish the tournament below par at what proved to be a treacherous course at Oak Hill Country Club.

Last month, Clark joined Paul Azinger, Glen Day, Joel Edwards, Jason Gore, Paul Gow (One TW), Scott Laycock (One TW), Spike McRoy, John Morgan, John Morse, Gary Nicklaus (One TW), Pat Perez, rookie DJ Trahan and Tiger Woods (One TW) in playing the new Nike One or Nike One TW.

This past June, Nike Golf's lead golf ball engineer Rock Ishii combined a three-cover construction with the hottest core Nike Golf had ever introduced. The result is the first golf ball with three covers and arguably the hottest core in golf that responds to swing speed and club angle to maximize distance and regulate spin....the Nike One.*

* The Nike One TW has a slightly lower compression and softer cover for increased spin.
