Mizuno putterNORCROSS, Ga. (August 21, 2002) - Mizuno once again combines its expertise in forging technology with the hand craftsmanship of world-renowned putter designer T.P. Mills and his son, David Mills, to introduce a new line of one-piece forged T.P. Mills Workshop putters. Designed using Mizuno's exclusive Grain Flow Forging process, Select 1025 Mild Carbon Steel, precision computer milling, and an elegant black oxide finish, the T.P. Mills Workshop putters offer the very finest look, feel, and performance available.

Forged from one piece of 1025 Select Mild Carbon steel, the T.P. Mills Workshop putters exhibit tight consistent grains for a solid, soft feel. The heads are computer milled for precise shape and extremely tight tolerances while the hosel is hand crafted for a smooth, seamless look at address. The T.P. Mills Workshop collection includes four new models, each emblematic of T.P. Mill's renowned styling and class with unique shapes and an elegant black finish.

"The T.P. Mills Workshop putters mark yet another great accomplishment by one of the golf industry's greatest legends," said Dick Lyons, Vice President and General Manager, Mizuno USA Golf Division. "Mizuno is very proud to contribute our forging expertise and R&D resources to the experience and imagination of T.P. Mills in what is undoubtedly the finest collection of high quality forged putters ever offered by Mizuno."

One of the most influential putter designers in the history of golf, T.P. Mills has been designing and building milled putters for more than forty years. Now, after years of apprenticeship and research under his father, David Mills has become a masterful putter craftsman. Already well established among PGA Tour professionals, David, like his father, is known for his use of great balance with original shapes and styles. With the experience of T.P. Mills, the innovation and Tour-style perspective of David Mills, and the unmatched forging quality of Mizuno's Grain Flow Forging process, the new T.P. Mills Workshop putters are destined to be instant classics forging a new legacy for Mizuno and the Mills family name.

The four models in the T.P. Mills Workshop collection include feature T.P. Mills' distinctive oval and crosshair alignment aids which precisely match the center of gravity for consistently pure putts. Models I-IV all have a loft of four degrees, a lie of 70 degrees, and are offered in both 34 and 35 inches. Standard shaft is the exclusive True Temper(R) Pencil shaft, and standard grip is the unique Winn(R) Black and Blue Medalist grip. Suggested retail price for a T.P. Mills Workshop putter is $249.00. The new T.P. Mills Workshop putters will begin shipping to customers in September.
