Harrison Shaft Propels Ciurluini to Long Drive Q-School Title Contact Harrison Sports (March 18, 2003) - Vince Ciurluini, Los Angeles, Calif., used the Harrison Pro 2.5 Ti Tip shaft as the engine to propel a drive 357 yards and win the season-opening qualifying school of the Long Drivers of America (LDA). In addition to gaining full LDA playing privileges, Ciurluini took home the $1,200 first place check from the competition in Mesquite, Nevada. He already holds an exemption for the 2003 ReMax World Long Drive Championships. The Harrison Pro 2.5 long drive series shafts promote a long drive tuned launch angles, a lower spin rate, and a very tighter shot dispersion. Long drivers appreciate the optimized launch angle that helps the ball carry further and roll longer. The Harrison Pro 2.5 Ti Tip is engineered to have the tightest tip torque profile available on the market. It is made from Titanium-reinforced X-7200 graphite. It has a 2.5-degrees torque, carries a high flex point, weighs 85 grams, and is 52-inches long. "Harrison Sports congratulates Vince Ciurluini on his Q-school victory," Harrison Sports President Michael Cheng said. "Harrison Shafts set the standard for long driving. They have been used to win seven of the last 10 World Long Drive Championships. Vince's victory continues to demonstrate that our shafts are engineered to help golfers hit their drives long and straight. We will continue to experiment with new engineering designs that we hope will gain more wins for Harrison LDA tour players."
