Lyons Tops Money List of Women's Division Long Drivers Using GolfGear Tsunami Driver Contact Mark Grody HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (July 29, 2003) - Robin Lyons, who has won two of the last three 2003 Pinnacle LDA, Women's Division, events using a GolfGear International Tsunami driver, tops the organization's 2003 money list at the half-way point of the long drivers' season. Don Anderson, GolfGear's founder and CEO, says, "We're delighted with the success that Robin is having using our club. It comes on the heels of a number of other accomplishments we've made recently." This month, the Tsunami 400 driver finished at the top of the ratings and the Tsunami 360 finished in a tie for second place during comprehensive testing of dozens of drivers by Golf Test USA. At the same time, the Company's line of junior clubs - Players by GolfGear - received the top marks in that category. In 2002, GolfGear's 340 cc Tsunami driver was twice certified as the #1 driver in distance according to Rankmark International. GolfGear offers a full line of proprietary golf clubs, including Tsunami drivers, fairway woods and irons; Leading Edge(R) Championship Putters; Diva woods and irons for women; and Players(R) Clubs for junior golfers. The entire line of Tsunami drivers, fairway woods and irons is made using GolfGear's unique, multi-patented "forged-face insert" technology. Anderson founded GolfGear in 1989, invented insert technology and now has nine foreign and domestic patents relating to the process that uses forged-face inserts that are affixed into the cavity of investment-cast clubheads. The Tsunami drivers have a unique top dome "wave design" that structurally strengthens the entire club head. "This maximizes energy transfer to the hitting area, thus preventing energy loss in the head," says Anderson. GolfGear's patent portfolio with respect to insert technology is the largest and most comprehensive in the golf industry. These patents incorporate a wide variety of forged-face insert materials, including titanium, beryllium copper, stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and related alloys, and include technology for variable face thickness of the insert.
