SOLANA BEACH, Calif. (September 18, 2002) - Gauge Design Golf, manufacturers of custom made, milled putters receives patent protection for its Aluinser insert technology.

The insert technology is designed to maximize the heel-to-toe weighting of the one piece, milled putter designs. "Our putter heads are milled from a single piece of steel. The insert maximizes the heel-to-toe weighting of the design creating a very solid feel." states Gauge Designs founder and president, David Whitlam. "Heel-to-toe weighting is undisputedly the single most important design feature to ensure more consistent performance from the club." he continues.

Gauge Design a California company has been a leading seller of milled putters in Japan due largely to being the most popular putter played on the Japanese PGA Tour in 2001. The company plans to enter the United States with distribution through on-course golf locations in 2003.
