Volvik provided Crystal and ST446 balls for the spring testing and report a very satisfactory result. Crystal orange color balls where tested by a reluctant crew of testers who initially dismissed the colored ball as a novelty, yet ranked it highest in durability and accuracy. Described by Golftest USA as a real sleeper in the Accuracy category and rated "highest by far" in durability with a comment of, "this ball is virtually impossible to destroy." Also stated in the test results, "All the women golfers in the test fell in love with the Volvik Crystal 70." Fl Golf President Chuck Womer stated, "I'm very pleased with the overall test results. The Crystal ball was in very short supply when we shipped for testing and we had to send what we had the most of that was orange. We knew the fellas would take a step back but also knew that if they gave the ball an honest try they'd come to find what golfers across America are finding and feeling. We'll send them some of the new Crystal white balls for fall testing. We're finding our yellow Crystal to be a very high favorite with senior gentlemen but Crystal white is still the traditionalist's color of choice."
