Think Of It As A Big, Titanium Trampoline
Contact Randy Romberg CYPRESS, Calif. (August 6, 2002) - Cleveland Golf is proud to introduce the Launcher 400. Considerably larger than it's 330cc brother, the Launcher 400 has a coefficient of restitution (C.O.R.) that meets the .830 limit set forth by the USGA. "The ball just explodes off the club," said Greg Hopkins, president/COO of Cleveland Golf. "We figured out how to make a driver that offers the maximum allowable 'trampoline effect' without going 'dead' after time and use. That was the biggest challenge." The Launcher 400 has the technology of the original Launcher 330 with the added benefits that come from a larger clubhead. This club produces a higher launch angle with lower backspin for more carry and increased roll, and also offers an increased moment of inertia which reduces the amount of lost distance on off-center hits. Like the Launcher 330, the 400 comes stock with a Launcher Gold shaft. Co-designed with Fujikura, they are specially designed to optimize the performance of the 400. Available in lofts of 7.5, 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5, The Launcher 400 carries a MSRP of $399. The Launcher 400 will begin shipping September 1 with left handed versions becoming available in November 2002.
