CHAMP ScorpionSpikes Dominate Jamie Farr Kroger Classic

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (August 21, 2003) - At the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic
Presented by ALLTEL, eight times as many golfers put their trust in CHAMP
ScorpionSpikes than any other spike (98 to 12). In fact, more than eight
percent of the entire field (12 golfers) wore the new CHAMP Scorpion
Stinger spike, the next generation of the CHAMP ScorpionSpike, which
will be launched to the public in October. As a result of the new Stinger
spike, CHAMP soft golf spikes were worn by 76 percent of the field, with
the next closest competitor at 10 percent.
Overall, according to the Darrell Survey, 111 golfers at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic wore CHAMP spikes, with 98 wearing ScorpionSpikes, 12 wearing the Scorpion Stinger spike, and one wearing half-CHAMP-half Nike spikes. In addition, according to CHAMP's LPGA Tour representative, 11 golfers wore CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec(TM) and other metal spikes, bringing CHAMP's total spike count to 122, or 85 percent of the field. Dating back to last year, CHAMP has won every spike count on the LPGA Tour, and CHAMP spikes have won 24 of the last 30 events.
Recently, CHAMP ScorpionSpikes placed No. 1 in GolfTest USA's independent
tests of soft golf spikes. The CHAMP ScorpionSpike was awarded the highest
overall score of 8.9 against all competing brands in the soft golf spike
category after rigorous testing for quality, ease of cleaning, traction,

products in the Top Five of test results. The #1 CHAMP ScorpionSpike
