MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (August 6, 2002) - At the LPGA's Wendy's Championship for Children, the winner of the tournament wore CHAMP ScorpionSpikes for her fifth career victory. According to the Darrell Survey, CHAMP ScorpionSpikes were worn by more than twice as many golfers as the closest competitor. In addition, more than half of the field wore CHAMP and CHAMP ScorpionSpikes.

According to the Darrell Survey, 85 golfers (59 percent of the field) wore CHAMP spikes. In terms of individual spikes, according to the Darrell Survey, CHAMP ScorpionSpikes led the way with 82 golfers (57 percent), while the nearest competitor had only 30 golfers. This means that CHAMP and CHAMP ScorpionSpikes have won the spike count in every tournament on the LPGA Tour in 2002 and every major championship. In addition, according to the Darrell Survey, this marks the 11th time in 20 events that CHAMP ScorpionSpikes have stood in the winner's circle in 2002.

In addition to the spikes referenced above, CHAMP's LPGA Tour representative reported that nine golfers wore CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec(TM) spikes and one wore spikes manufactured by CHAMP for Bridgestone. This means that 95 golfers or 66 percent of the field wore CHAMP manufactured spikes.
