MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (March 17, 2003) -- Two tournaments. Two wins. One
spike. On the PGA Tour at the Honda Classic and on the LPGA Tour at the
Welch's/Fry's Championship, the winners trusted CHAMP ScorpionSpikes(TM)
to give them the performance they needed down the stretch. This marked
the sixth and seventh victories of the season for CHAMP golf spikes,
with five on the PGA Tour and now one on the LPGA Tour.
At the Welch's/Fry's Championship, the winner and 56 percent of the field wore CHAMP ScorpionSpikes, including eight of the top-10 finishers. In terms of individual spikes, three times as many golfers wore CHAMP ScorpionSpikes as the next closest spike (81 to 27). At the Honda Classic, 49 percent of the field wore CHAMP golf spikes, with the winner and 21 other golfers wearing CHAMP ScorpionSpikes and one wearing CHAMP TRAC(TM) spikes.
