CHAMP ScorpionSpikes logoMARLBOROUGH, Mass. (March 13, 2003) -- After eight full-field events on the PGA Tour in 2003, CHAMP has increased the number of golfers wearing its soft golf spikes by more than 320%, going from an average of 5 golfers per the same eight tournaments in 2002 versus 21 in 2003. In addition, five of the eight tournament winners wore CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec spikes(TM).

"Tour professionals are obviously seeing results across the complete line of CHAMP golf spikes," said Harris MacNeill, CEO of CHAMP, "whether it be our #1 ranked ScorpionSpikes, the new CHAMP TRAC spikes, or our popular CHAMP Cer-Mec spikes."

At the most recent Ford Championship at Doral, a total of 66 golfers wore CHAMP spikes, with 44 wearing CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec spikes, 19 wearing CHAMP ScorpionSpikes(TM) and one wearing CHAMP TRAC(TM) spikes. In addition, four of the 11 golfers who finished in the top 10 (includes ties) wore CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec spikes. At last year's Genuity Championship at Doral, eight golfers wore CHAMP soft golf spikes, compared to 22 at this year's event.
