Bobby Grace and Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. Form Alliance Contact Charles Blume Huntsville, Ala. (July 31, 2003) - Bobby Grace, one of the most highly regarded collectors of classic golf clubs in the world and best known for designing the "Fat Lady Swings" mallet putter and The Amazing Grace-MOI, a triangle-shaped bi-metal putter, has joined forces with Huntsville's Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. (BCG). Founded four years ago, Balance-Certified Golf, Inc., is the first golf equipment company to quantify and define "FEEL." Jeff Linder, CEO and inventor of the Pro Balance System, is a former NASA aerospace engineer who perfected the ultimate system to improve a club's inertial stability. Strategically located weights, which are fitted to each golfer's individual needs, promote a smooth stroke or swing that is less susceptible to unwanted stroke path deviation. Grace designed his first prototype hand-milled putter in 1991 at home in his garage. After acquiring a manufacturer's pass from the PGA Tour, he was able to demonstrate his putters to the professional golfers and introduce them to The Fat Lady mallet putter. In 1999 Grace designed and created an extremely forgiving line of putters so unique that he applied for and received a utility patent on the "High Moment of Inertia" putter, known as the "MOI Series." BCG's association with Bobby Grace began on the putting greens of PGA Tour events. The alliance will permit Grace to utilize the Pro Balance System in his putters and introduce it to users of his putters on the PGA Tour. It will also allow BCG to have the Grace line at Tour events with the Pro Balance System already installed. Regarding his putter line and BCG, Bobby Grace said, "There is no question this technology helps to quiet the hands in putting. BCG has done a great job in perfecting the installation, the materials and the concept. I am glad to be a part of it." Jeff Lindner added, "We are excited about a person of Bobby's reputation and stature in the industry endorsing BCG's product line. We are certain others in the industry will take note of this strategic alliance." Earlier this year BCG introduced new "drop-in" counter weight technology, which after fitting, can be installed in less than two minutes in any steel shafted club. Certified dealers across the country heralded this breakthrough. "Now we can give the golf consumer instant gratification and increased performance in a very short period of time," said a leading California dealer. Scott Hoch and Tom Jenkins are two of the BCG's Chief Technical Advisors. Since adding the system to their putters, both players have significantly lowered their putting statistics. To date, over 70 Tour professionals are enjoying increased performance with Pro Balance counter weight technology equipped clubs.
