Yarrow LodgeAUGUSTA, Mich. (April 4, 2003) - Yarrow Golf and Conference Center, a charming destination for corporate go-getters and romantics, is set to add golf to its growing number of resort amenities.

The Golf Club at Yarrow was designed by Michigan native Raymond Hearn, who has given us such Michigan classics as The Grande, Twin Lakes, Island Hills, and Hemlock. Yarrow is sure to be added to the list of great designs that Ray has completed early in his career.

Set to open in the spring of 2003, The Golf Club at Yarrow meanders over rolling terrain featuring a wide variety of hardwoods, wetlands, and the beautiful winding Augusta Creek. This beautiful, spring fed trout stream and headwaters flow through the property at Yarrow Golf & Conference Center. Like the Augusta Creek, golf holes flow naturally throughout the site and give golfers some classic Ray Hearn risk reward opportunities.

"In my 16 years in the business, Yarrow is the most spectacular inland setting for a golf course that I have seen to date, period. The wetlands, rolling terrain, and vegetation are just absolutely spectacular", said Ray Hearn, President of Raymond Hearn/ Paul Albanese Golf Designs.

Golf Club at YarrowThe Golf Club at Yarrow was designed for the enjoyment of all golfing abilities. It will be an exciting challenge for the experienced player from the back tees, while offering an enjoyable experience for the beginner from the forward tees. Large fairways, amply-sized yet distinctively rolling greens coupled with strategically placed sand bunkers and natural grass areas, all contribute to this superb course.

"With the large number of courses to choose from, we set out to create a unique golfing experience at Yarrow. We strongly believe it will be in a 'must play' category for any serious golfer. Once discovered, we believe the Yarrow Golf & Conference Center will be ranked along with the other premiere golfing establishments in the Midwest", said Hearn.

Yarrow's history has always included a special concern for the environment driven by responsible stewardship. Yarrow worked closely with the DNR in an environmentally sensitive way in constructing the boardwalk bridges on the golf course. This prompted the DNR to provide submittals relative to "Threatened and Endangered Species" habitat for the Spotted Turtle (Clemmys guttata) that is located on site.

The addition of The Golf Club at Yarrow has catapulted Yarrow into one of the finest golf destinations in the Midwest. Yarrow Golf and Conference Center features a beautiful 14,000 square foot lodge, 45 unique guest rooms, including cottages, corporate meeting rooms, and now championship level golf.

Yarrow specializes in corporate meetings, team building, and now golf outings and golf vacations.Yarrow is also known for its romantic getaways, weddings, and special events.
