Cushman & Wakefield Arranges Sale Of Prestigious Country Club In Suburban Los Angeles

CHICAGO (April 1, 2002) -- Global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the sale of the Valencia Country Club located in Valencia, Calif., a northern suburb of Los Angeles. The country club, which includes a golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. as well as a 45,500-square-foot clubhouse, was sold by Uniden Valencia, Inc. to Heritage Golf Group, a San Diego-based owner and operator of premier private and daily fee golf facilities. Sale price was not disclosed.

Representing the seller to market the property and negotiate the sales transaction were Chris Charnas and Jeff Davis of Cushman &Wakefield's Chicago office. Both Charnas and Davis, directors in the firm's Financial Services Group, specialize in golf course investment and financing. The buyer was represented internally during the transaction.

The par 72, 18-hole golf course at Valencia Country Club was built in 1965 and measures 7,076 yards. It has served as the site for a number of tournaments, including the PGA Tour's Nissan Open and the Senior PGA Tour SBC Senior Classic. The clubhouse includes a golf shop, grille room, locker rooms and men's and women's lounges.
