Clubessential Recognizes Boca West CC as "Best of the Web"

(August 12, 2003) - Clubessential recently chose Boca West Country
Club as a winner in the Innovation category for their Annual Best of
the Web Awards. Fifty-five clubs were nominated for awards in five different
categories. A panel of industry experts judged the finalists.
Boca West Country Club's interactive Web site went "live" to their members in May, 2002 and has been an important communications tool since. Members use the Web site to book tee times, make dinner reservations, send emails and check on news and events while away from the Club or living up North.
"It's another means of communication for those who are away from the Club. It allows them to still feel like a part of the Boca West community," said Kathy Kohlhepp, the Club's Activities/Communications Manager. "I feel we won the award because of our innovation in the area of dining reservations." Members at Boca West make dining reservations through the Web site which are then automatically forwarded to Staff via email. Those reservations are then posted to the Web site for other members to view.
Over 1,800 Club members actively use the Web site. Members rave about
their ability to check movie times at local theatres, order hats and
shirts from the pro shop, email other members and check to see who won
Bridge.
