JUPITER, Fla. - The NGF (National Golf Foundation) has introduced an entirely new GolFacts decision support system for golf businesses. The new and vastly expanded NGF GolFacts program builds upon previous versions of the popular product and provides comprehensive golf supply and demand information from the local golf trade area up to the regional golf market level. Information contained in the reports includes detailed population demographics and trends, complete facility supply listings, off-course golf specialty store supply, proprietary NGF demand indices, rounds played, golf range information, and analysis of recent and projected new course development activity. Also new in 2003 the NGF will offer unlimited access to all of the GolFacts information in an online version available for licensing.

"NGF GolFacts provides the essential information needed to begin to understand the interaction of golf supply and demand in any given market," said Richard Singer, director of consulting services for the NGF. "GolFacts is 'step one' in any golf course appraisal, due diligence or acquisition analysis. It is where we start virtually every project in our consulting practice, and now we are making this same, detailed proprietary analytical system available to golf course owners, golf course appraisers, consultants, lenders, brokers and others."

The GolFacts decision support system also has many applications to golf-related businesses outside of golf facilities. "We have already used the GolFacts system to help several of our industry clients," said Dr. Joe Beditz, NGF president and CEO. "The system is particularly well suited to increasing direct mail marketing efficiency."

NGF GolFacts offers the most in-depth golf market information available and provides an accurate assessment of golf supply and demand down to the local golf trade area and up to regional and national markets. In addition to providing detailed demographic data on population and households, including five-year forecasted growth, the reports provide a complete list of golf facilities in each market along with a special report on new golf course development activity, both historic and projected.

Individual NGF GolFacts reports are available in printed form for as little as $500. More detailed reports including colored maps and more in-depth information and analysis are also available. For clients needing 24x7 access to the GolFacts decision support system, an online version is available for licensing from NGF.

"Our objective is to help our clients make better informed decisions and NGF GolFacts does this for many segments of the golf industry," said Beditz.
