Executive Women's Golf Association Announces Chapter Development Expansion to Increase Membership Contact Karen Moraghan PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (July 16, 2003) - The Executive Women's Golf Association, the premier organization for women interested in the game of golf, has strengthened chapter development efforts this month with the staff addition of Denise O'Brien and Hollis Kerler as new chapter development associates. "I am very pleased to announce the growth of our chapter development team, as we continue to strive to increase membership and improve existing EWGA chapters," said Sara Hume, Executive Director of the EWGA. O'Brien joined the EWGA in the fall of 1997 and became active in the Tampa Bay, Fla., Chapter, serving as membership chair (2001-2002) and vice president (2003). She also served as the assistant chair for the 2002 Florida sectional event, and held the role of 2003 Florida sectional communications chair. Prior to joining the EWGA, O'Brien was a relationship marketing administrator with TSI Telecommunication Services, Inc. in Tampa, where she was responsible for program development, management and implementation of the telecommunication software company's usersÇ group. OÇBrien received an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and an MBA in management from the University of Miami. Kerler was founding president of the EWGA chapter in Milwaukee and has been very involved with the Chapter for the last three years. She possesses a wide range of experience - from entrepreneur to corporate executive, and she holds a degree in recreation management from Ohio University, and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. Kerler will work from her Milwaukee home. The Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based EWGA is a national organization promoting the spirit of acceptance, dignity and respect for career-oriented women interested in golf, and has over 17,000 members in more than 100 chapters across the U.S. and Canada. The EWGA's chapter development is made possible through a grant from the PGA of America, which also is based in Palm Beach Gardens.
