adidas Golf ClimaCool shirtCARLSBAD, Calif. (August 14, 2003) - adidas Golf has introduced its ClimaCool(R) Spring 2004 apparel line, consisting of men's and women's tops, bottoms, and outerwear.

ClimaCool(R), adidas Golf's first apparel line made of 100 percent synthetic fibers, is a superior first-layer technology that incorporates the best moisture management fabric in the industry, Dupont's CoolMax(R) Extreme.

"ClimaCool(R) technology has already been proven in tennis and running apparel, where athletes push themselves physically, often in hot conditions," says Casey Waid, Director of Apparel for adidas Golf. "ClimaCool(R), when combined with sport-specific ventilation elements, enhances temperature regulation, helping to optimize the wearer's performance. ClimaCool(R) also dries faster than competitive fabrics and is proven to reduce skin temperature and heart rate. Plus, ClimaCool(R) is softer than cotton and resists pilling better than other natural and synthetic fibers, and features low odor retention."

While adidas Golf's initial ClimaCool(R) apparel launch, which occurred in summer 2003, was limited in distribution, SKUs and colors, the Spring 2004 introduction is much broader. Not only has the number of styles and colors been increased, they will be available to more green grass and golf specialty shops.

Additional women's offerings include:

  • Clima Tech Skort

  • ClimaProof(TM) Wind Warm Jacket

Women's ClimaCool(R) shirts and tops, like all of adidas' women's golf apparel, are specifically shaped to fit a woman's body.
